Who We Are
Our Vision
Quant is a selective algorithmic trading and quantitative finance club at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). It seeks to unite highly talented students with a demonstrated interest in the intersection of computer science and finance, disciplines in which UIUC is ranked 5th and 8th in the nation, respectively.
Quant leverages big data, alternative data, machine learning, and other quantitative methods to invest in an innovative and more effective way. Specifically, it is focused on using alternative and market data to research and engineer features through machine learning and entropy reduction techniques.

Quant provides invaluable experience and unique opportunities to its members. In doing so, it enables companies and other universities to recognize UIUC as a top-tier source for quant talent.
